🙌Box Breathing Technique

Box breathing, also known as square breathing, is a simple and effective technique to reduce stress, improve focus, and promote relaxation. Here’s how you can practice it:

1️⃣ Inhale: Breathe in deeply through your nose for 4 seconds, filling your lungs completely.
2️⃣ Hold: Hold your breath for 4 seconds, keeping your body relaxed.
3️⃣ Exhale: Slowly breathe out through your mouth for 4 seconds, emptying your lungs.
4️⃣ Hold: Pause for 4 seconds before your next inhale.

🔄 Repeat this cycle for 4–6 rounds or as needed to calm your mind and body.

📌 Pro Tip: Focus on counting evenly and visualizing a square—tracing the sides in your mind with each phase of breathing.

Box breathing is perfect for stressful moments, preparing for performance, or winding down at the end of the day. 🧘‍♀️

The feedback I’ve noticed is that many clients cannot fully relax as quickly into their sessions until halfway through. However, when I introduce Sound Bowls at the start of the session, clients report slipping into a deeper state of relaxation much faster. These types of feedback are incredibly rewarding, as they highlight both the profound healing power of Sound Bowls and how naturally our bodies respond to a state of rest and recovery when the right tools are involved.

I have been a massage therapist for 15 years, a hypnotherapist for 4 years and playing with Sound Bowls for over 1.5 years, and now I get to integrate it all into one session. How good is that! I did not see the link at the time I was practising each modality however, as time unfolds, the magic and gift of healing becomes stronger and stronger. Super excited!

A few months back, I was searching for a space to call “The Healing Hub” -A sacred place dedicated to healing and connection. Little did I know that the space I was looking for was right beneath my feet, in my own home!

Today, I had the pleasure of playing my bowls for a special group of incredible women. I am so so grateful for the support of my beautiful friends and the opportunity to create a haven where I can invite others to experience healing and peace in the heart of my own space.
